Blood and Champagne stand for fast, hard and yet melodic punk rock.

Live, the Salzburg band impresses with their catchy songs, energetic three-part vocals
and a strong, female lead vocal and will be remembered by the audience for their intense stage presence.

In their hometown of Salzburg, the band is best known for their DIY concert series "Blood and Friends",
which brings together local and out-of-town bands to delight Salzburg's punk and rock fans.

The band's name is based on a sentence from "Notes from the Underground" by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
and tells how blood and violence go hand in hand with the modern, civilized world.

...blood is being spilt in streams, and in the merriest way, as though it were champagne...

Inspired by the LA scene of the early 80s, as well as the grunge era, the young musicians have been working
have been working non-stop on new material since the band was founded in 2018.

The band released their debut EP "First Blood" in 2021 on Gulaschmusi Records.

The second EP followed in 2023
"A Gentle Creature", with which they continued their musical journey.

Die Band

Guitarist Oliver Garba composes fast and strong guitar riffs that give the band its punk sound. He draws inspiration from groups such as The Wipers, The Germs, Pissed Jeans and Angry Samoans.

Alexandra Hesse contributes to the dynamic and soulful quality of the songs with an unexpected vocal power paired with emotionally charged lyrics. She is inspired by artists and bands such as Alice in Chains and Henry Rollins.

Bassist Maximilian "Max" Kundt supports both the rhythm and lead sections of Blood and Champagne with fast and creative bass lines. Some of his role models are bassists like Paul Grey, Donald "Duck" Dunn, Mike Dirnt and Matt Freeman.

Philip Humer on drums gives the songs the necessary oomph with creative and energetic grooves. He is influenced by many genres, from funk to metal.
